Matthew and I arrived home from the airport late Friday night, then he got up and left for work at 7:30 the next morning. They were doing a system upgrade and he thought he might be home by late afternoon. Things didn't go well, however, and he didn't end up getting home until 10:00 pm. The boys, especially Hyrum, were very confused at why Dad was "home" but not home. Today they have been soaking up every bit of his attention and have particularly loved the chocolates and little cans of soda pop that he brought them.
Today was also our ward's primary program. I had let the kids stay up late, in hopes of Matthew coming home before bedtime, but it was a loose/loose as they didn't get to see their dad and they were over tired this morning. Mercy spent most of the meeting laying on the floor under our pew, Abraham sat in his teacher's lap glaring at the congregation the entire time, and Hyrum didn't even stand up for most of the songs. But, they both said their parts from memory with out any help, and Abraham gave us all a big proud smile after delivering his line.
