Roller Skating at the Little Park

Hyrum rediscovered his roller skates in a box I unpacked the other day and has been begging to go out and use them. Yesterday was his early release day, so after Mercy's nap we ventured over to the little park where Hyrum's bus stops. There is just one house and the round about between us and this lovely little park, which is so great. It makes catching the bus a breeze, and is the perfect distance for a simple half hour of fresh air and sunshine.

I imagine it was designed with joggers and dog walkers in mind, as it's mostly just a really big lawn with a path around it. There isn't a proper play ground, but there is a small sand pit with a digger and an area with bars and stuff for exercising. The landscaping all around is lovely though, and I can definitely see the boys going out there in a few years with their friends to play soccer or throw frisbees.
