This morning we met up with the Shaw's at the aquarium and botanic gardens. Abraham and Kaleb are quite the pair. There was a couple in the aquarium that confessed to me that they thought watching the boys was definitely more entertaining than the fish.
In other news, the kids and I are on our own this week while Matthew is at a conference in Las Vegas. I feel so grateful for the experiences we had during grad school, because without them I'm sure I'd be feeling the pressure a lot more right now. The fridge still hasn't arrived and I think there might be something wrong with the van's transmission, but I know from experience that the Lord is aware of us and together we can do hard things. Plus, there's always the silver lining to being husbandless, like not having to get up at 5:30 in the morning or being praised for serving peanut butter sandwiches every night for dinner.
