We hosted our first proper dinner party tonight. The Jolly's came over for an early dinner and games. We served spinach salads with chicken and a side of carrot soup, and had Italian cake ice cream for dessert. My favorite part of the meal was seeing Mercy sit at the head of the kids table with five little boys all around her. After dinner, the kids played upstairs and the adults played Pandemic, a cooperative game. We lost, but only just barely. Everyone seemed to have a good time and I'm happy with how the evening turned out. I feel so blessed to have a house that is so ideally set up for entertaining company and hope to get to know many families by inviting them into our home.
