Hyrum attended his first cub scout day camp yesterday and today. The theme was Bug Hunters. He got to do archery, shoot BB guns, do a ropes course, make robots, and do some insect related crafts. Yesterday I drove him and four other boys from our ward down to the Stake Center and stayed for the day as a volunteer. I was assigned to the BB Gun station and ended up getting more than a little sun. Laura Brown drove the same group of boys down today. I love those boys so much and it was great to see each of them as they came through my station. I've not always been the biggest fan of the scouting program, but now that I'm a scout mom and I see how happy it makes Hyrum, I'm quite a bit more supportive.
