Though fevers seem to have broken in the night, our sickies were still not doing much better. Those of us feeling okay (Grandma, Grandpa, Mercy, and I) thought we’d to go to a fun looking park nearby called Loadstone first thing in the morning. At the last minute Abraham decided to come too. It was a very fun park with several neat slides, a couple different swings, lot’s of things to climb on, and a zip line. By 10:00 am it was getting pretty hot, so we called it a morning. We stopped by Walmart on the way home to restock our fruit supply. The rest of the day was spent at Grandma’s house. Hyrum and Matthew played a lot of Pokemon on the RetroPie. Some people napped, I read for a couple hours, and we all watched the first Batman movie from 1966, which Hyrum loved thought was absolutely hilarious. Grandma kept us fed and comfortable. Wes stopped by for about half an hour in the late afternoon and Matthew helped him fix the air conditioning in his truck. By bed time the little boys’ throats were really hurting them and it didn’t take much to get them in bed. It was a bummer that we had to take a sick day on Grandpa’s day off, but I think we managed to have a little fun.
