Grandma and Grandpa J arrived last night and we decided to kick off their visit with a trip to the zoo. Matthew had to get the new car registered and needed to go into work for a while, so he didn't join us. The kids were especially interested in the Mercats and a baby monkey that kept climbing up and jumping off a large plastic tube. They got to ride the new carousel and even got cups of ice cream. We were only there for about 2.5 hours before everyone decided they were done. Apparently I need to work on building up their summer time stamina.
After dinner Matthew, Grandpa, and the boys took the truck out for a little off roading. They got stuck in some sand and had to hike about a mile out before I could rescue them. Grandpa's Jeep was able to pull the truck out though, and everyone decided it was a fine little adventure.
