This morning we went fishing at Alto Lake. Hyrum patiently fished for a while, but Abraham cast just a couple times then got distracted by a mama duck and her babies. Matthew did a bit of lure fishing, then he and Grandpa J went to another part of the lake to try some fly fishing. The kids put down their poles once their dad was out of sight and resorted to digging up sticks and throwing rocks into the water. There was no chance of catching anything after that, so once dark clouds started rolling in we headed out.
We ate sandwiches for lunch at the condo, then I stayed back with a napping Mercy while Grandma J went shopping along main street and the boys took the 4Runner out on an adventure. They drove about an hour to check out the fire lookout tower on Monjeau Peak. Matthew thought it kind of looked like Castle Grey Skull (from Heman). It rained on them while they were driving, then as they got to higher elevations it started hailing. The only stayed at the lookout long enough to snap some pictures, then headed back.
The five of us, plus Grandpa, spent the second half of the afternoon swimming in the covered pool at the condo. Hyrum discovered he had a tooth loose enough for Matthew to pull, so that happened, then we got dressed and headed down to Main Street to meet up with Grandma for a bit of window shopping and dinner at an Irish pub.
We got the kids to bed, then Matthew and I stayed up way too late watching the movie Australia, which we checked out from the main office.
