While the boys were at school yesterday, Mercy and I went to Explora. It was the first time I've gone with just one kid and it was so much fun to let Mercy girl go where she wanted and spend as much time at each exhibit as she pleased.
They have a new exhibit called Sketch Aquarium and there was a film crew there shooting a story about it for the news. The camera guy was enthralled with Mercy, who admittedly was being especially adorable, and filmed her for easily 20 minutes. She and I were interviewed and told the story would air on several news channels the next morning. A story about the exhibit did play this morning, but it wasn't the one we were in. I suppose they just chose another crew's take on it. Still, it was a new experience and fun to see my daughter so admired. Even though we didn't get to see Mercy on TV, we did have an amazing view right out our front door:
It started raining Tuesday afternoon and didn't really stop until early this morning. In fact, it was still lightly drizzling in the back yard while I was in the front taking this picture.

In other news, a giant black carpenter ant crawled up my pant leg and bit me several times above the knee this afternoon. My whole leg was red and swollen, and I could barely walk for almost two hours.
