We learned that the class portion of Matthew's internship program is actually going to last for seven months, not six. Since he can't take vacation during that time he'll actually accrue more than he's allowed to bank and will start loosing vacation hours before he's allowed to take them again. With that in mind, we decided he should take a week off now and we'd use it to do some remodeling. We have an idea of what we'd like to accomplish with those seven days and I've been doing as much prep as possible to be ready to be in project mode. Even though we've got a number of other projects not quite finished in the back yard, we decided we'd be further ahead in the long run if we took care of all the mess making work in the great room.
