Matthew woke up with sausage sized fingers this morning. The demo tool really did a number on his hands and they were so swollen he couldn't make a fist. He spent about half an hour a couple times throughout the day holding onto ice packs and elevating his arms in an attempt to keep the pain and swelling in check.
Despite Matthew not being at full capacity, with the tile gone we were anxious to get back to our original remodeling plans. Matthew spent several hours in his garage wood shop and finished framing and walling in the inside of the large arch. He also did another round of skim coating on the hall wall and around the fireplace. I mostly worked on cleaning. There is dust everywhere and every nook and cranny had bits of tile or thin set that needed to be vacuumed out and then vacuumed again. I vacuumed and wiped down all the walls, too, and tried to get the kitchen back to some degree of working order. It will still be several days I think before we have a real meal, and longer still until we eat inside, but it won't be anywhere near as bad as when we were without a kitchen for seven weeks in Indiana, so I'm sure we can bear the slight inconvenience a while longer. I also patched several large divots in the floor.
