Spring is here! While it's not quite shorts and t-shirt weather yet, the grass is green, the trees are blooming, and the boys are loving spending as much time as possible outside. I mowed the lawn for the first time this season on Monday, and opened up all the windows to let the fresh breeze air out our house. It has been a long time coming and we are soaking it up.
Along with the grass, the kids are sprouting up as well. Abraham has voluntarily taken a nap almost every day this week, and is noticeably catching back up to Hyrum in height. Mercy is working on cutting some molars, and must also be growing because she slept (or at least was happy in her crib) for 16 hours last night.
Another thing Spring brings with it is the end of the semester. Matthew gave the final quiz to his classes this week, and as soon as he deposits his thesis next week he'll be done done done! Other than packing up his computer and cleaning the lab, there should be no more reasons for him to go to campus. Hopefully then we'll be able to really hit the house hard, finish up, and move on.
Speaking of moving on, Matthew got a job offer from the Army Corps of Engineers in Portland. It's pending a background check, so we've got at least a little while before accepting or rejecting it. Things seem to be moving along with Sandia, so we are going to wait to hear from them before making a decision. We are trying not to shut any doors and continue to look for other options. Matthew has a phone interview with a private boarding school in Virginia coming up, and is waiting to hear back from the HR lady at Amazon.

In other, rather unrelated news, the oven died. Actually, it will still heat up, but the problem is that it won't turn off. Without watching it very closely, it's liable to burn our house down. Matthew thinks he might be able to fix it for around $70.
