Preschool and Dad Returns

We have preschool at our house this week. Today, among other things, we painted wooden picture frames. Abraham is always so thrilled when it's our turn to host and talks every day about when he gets to go to school. He's got two more years before he starts Kindergarten, so hopefully there are some good pre-k options for him wherever we move next.

After recovering from a morning with 5 little boys by enjoying some lunch and quiet time, we drove once again down to Indy to pick up Dad from the airport. Abraham fell asleep on Hyrum's shoulder, and after amusing himself for a minute by poking his dozing sibling, Hyrum sat perfectly still the entire drive, occasionally resting his own head on his brother's. Oh, how it made my mother heart swell with love and happiness to see them being so tender. I hope they remain good friends throughout their lives.

Enjoying the sunshine and fresh air for a few minutes before being confined to the van for the next 2.5 hours.

Matthew had a nice time with his family, and while the interview at BYU went really well, he decided about an hour into the 7 hour evaluation that it was not the job for him. Amazon (based in Seattle) contacted him to set up a phone interview, and we haven't heard back yet from the Army Corps of Engineers, so there are still a few doors open. We continue to feel really positive and hopeful for the job at Sandia though, and look forward to hearing back from them in the next couple weeks.

This cute little jacket is a size newborn, yet fits her perfectly. She's also still in size 2 diapers (the boys were both in size 4 by this age). She's walking more and more and it amazes me to see this tiny little creature so mobile. It's so striking how petite and feminine she is compared to her brothers.
