Week in Review

We spent several hours on Sunday baking cookies, dipping chocolates, and making cards. We delivered our first batch of neighbor gifts that evening. While a few families got homemade goodies, most of our friends received a box of brownie mix and a 3D printed nativity to assemble. The cards said, "we hope you are able MAKE the most out of this holiday season."

We ordered Christmas cards from Walmart that needed to be picked up Monday morning. Matthew stayed home to supervise school and I stood outside in line in 25 degree weather for an hour. Capacity limits at grocery stores is definitely one of my least favorite things about Covid! I then spent most of the morning addressing cards and getting them in the mail. We made another library trip on Monday afternoon because Mercy has turned into a voracious reader and had already finished the stack of books we picked just a few days earlier. In the evening we went out again as a family to deliver another large batch of neighbor gifts.

On Tuesday afternoon, Abraham and Mercy came with me to deliver a few more neighbor gifts, and in the evening Hyrum had virtual YM.

Abraham passed Khan Academy's 4th grade math on Wednesday. That afternoon I did the light ramp FTP test. I went from 120 w to 127 w. It wasn't as big an improvement as we were anticipating, but it's something.

On Thursday morning the kids worked on their lists (finishing up school assignments and chores). In the afternoon I went out by myself to deliver the last of the neighbor gifts. These were the ones for people who live across town. While I was out, I also stopped by the library to collect a book that came in for Hyrum and went by Tractor Supply to pick up dog food.

The kids enjoyed lots of screen time yesterday, and I was able to go on a masked walk with Mindy in the afternoon. Several more hours of Dragon Quest were played today while I worked on a long list of chores and errands.
