I spent a lot of this past week getting ready for Grandma Naomi and preparing for girls camp. It was a busy and slightly stressful week, but we managed to have some fun too.
After church on Sunday we went over to the Brown's new house for dinner with Jeb and the girls.
On Monday we went to park lunch and in the afternoon Josh and Flynn came over. We played a board game for family night.
The kids and I had our semi-annual visit to the dentist on Tuesday. Mercy and I both received a clean bill of dental health, but Hyrum had one cavity and Abraham had three.
We went to park lunch on Wednesday. I left the boys with Jesse and Cody in the care of their mom Tara, and dropped Mercy off at Olivia's house while I went to a follow up appointment to review the results of my mammogram and discuss what we might try doing next. We decided on the continuation of probiotics and a seven day course of yeast infection medicine. That evening Hyrum had cub scouts and I did the last of the camp pre-certification stuff with the young women.
Hyrum had his first babysitting job on Thursday morning. I dropped him off at the Monson's and he tended to the kids so their mom could do some uninterrupted cleaning. While he was there, Abraham, Mercy, and I went to Smith's to capitalize on some sales on butter, cereal, and chips. The bishop asked us to bring 15-20 bags of chips to the Stake pioneer day activity on Saturday, so the timing of the sale plus some digital coupons all worked out very much in our favor. In the afternoon the kids went swimming, and in the evening I went with the missionaries to visit a less active woman in our ward.
I took Matthew to the airport at 5:45 am yesterday. He'll be in Vancouver, Canada for a week at a work conference. I finished up some last minute chores and we went to park lunch, then in the evening we picked up Grandma from the airport. She'll be with us for the next ten days to help with the kids while Matthew and I are out of town.
Today I went shopping in the morning, then Abraham and I went to the baptism of a girl in his primary class. This evening we went down to Los Lunas for the Stake Pioneer Day activity. We brought our 19 bags of chips and came home with 17 bags of chips. Needless to say, the activity was not especially well attended.
