On Monday we went to swim team, cleaned bathrooms, and did lunch at Park West. For Family night we went to an Isotopes baseball game. It was Mormon night so there were lots of friends from the ward and stake. It was lightly raining when we got there, but before the game started the rain stopped and the weather was just perfect. We stayed to the bitter end (our team lost) and everyone had a great time.
On Tuesday morning, I dropped the kids off at Mikaela's then went to the Women's hospital for a mammogram and ultrasound. I've had some discomfort for quite a while and so I went to see a specialist who ordered some testing. Everything looks normal and healthy, so while we still don't know the cause of my discomfort, at least we know what it's not. I made it home in time for Park Lunch, after which Spencer and Ammon came over for the rest of the afternoon. Mercy went to Kinzlee's birthday party in the evening and that night Matthew hosted his book club.
We had a typical Wednesday with swim team, park lunch, and grocery shopping. Tara brought several archaeology kits to park lunch and the kids were able to excavate baby dinosaurs, shark teeth, and shells. For dinner we redeemed the free Lotaburger kids meal coupons that Abraham and Mercy got at the baseball game.
The weather was perfect in the evening and the Young Women were able to do their fire building and cooking outside pre-certifications for camp. Everything went reasonably well, except one of our beehives accidentally knelt in some coals meant for the dutch oven and burned her knee pretty bad.
The kids had gone to bed pretty late, having stayed up with the Youth, and Abraham wasn't feeling up to swim team on Thursday. An opportunity arose around lunch time though and we got free tickets for the mid-day free swim at West Mesa. We spent nearly the entire time in the outside pool and the kids had a great time. I had a lot on my to do list, but I was grateful I took the opportunity to take my littles somewhere fun and spend some time entirely focused on them. That evening I went to my book club where we discussed The Worst Hard Time.
Today was Matthew's day off. We had considered going backpacking or fishing or something outdoorsy and fun, but in the end decided to stay home and work on the house. I got up early and did a session in the temple, then came home to help with shed doors and work on girls camp stuff. This evening we went to a ward potluck and clothing swap.

Hyrum's second week in Utah was a little less busy than his first. Grandma had him working hard on piano and his multiplication tables, as well as running errands with her. He got to see the floats for the Pioneer Day parade, went fishing, went to park lunch, went to a ward party, and watched all the Lord of the Ring movies. He wasn't all that interested in talking to us while he was away, so I'm sure there are fun things he did that we never heard about. By the end of the week Abraham and Mercy were definitely ready to have their brother home, and Hyrum was ready to be back as well.
