Catching Up

It's been a busy couple of weeks without much going on. Des and Megan came over on the first to put together Christmas gifts for our primary teachers as well as the little prize the kids will get on their birthdays next year. I got backed into in the Walmart parking lot on November 30, so after several phone calls and even more minutes talking to insurance companies, Matthew took the van in on the second for a damage assessment. Turns out the cost of repairs is over $900, but the value of the van is closer to $700. The insurance people still haven't been able to get a hold of the other guy so we don't know yet if they'll say we're both at fault, if we'll get money, or they'll consider our vehicle totaled. The back door doesn't open, but but it still drives fine so I guess it's not that big a deal to wait. I had a pretty bad migraine on Thursday and Friday and didn't get much done either day. On Saturday I met the missionaries for a lesson with one of their investigators, but he didn't show so I ran a bunch of errands instead. That night Matthew played D&D. On Sunday evening I baked molasses cookies and we all curled up together to watch the first presidency Christmas devotional. The past several days I finally got back on my bike and start the second session of base training. I also spent hours and hours in the sewing room working on Matthew's birthday presents. This afternoon the boys had their semi-annual visit to the dentist. Hyrum's top molars have come in so the hygienist put some sealant on them, and his top front teeth are on the verge of falling out. Abraham has really spaced out teeth just like his mama. Neither had any cavities.
