Another Fun Week

In addition to the regular start of week laundry, blogging, and baking, we met up with Mindy and her boys for park lunch on Monday. That evening I went over to Brie's house for Bachelor night with Hannah and Sherry. I've never seen the show before, and could easily live the rest of my life without ever seeing it again, but it was definitely nice to get out of the house on my own for a bit. Plus, I was able to give Brie all our boy clothes from newborn to 18 months. We were given everything the boys have worn up to this point, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to pass along the blessings.

We met up with Hannah and her girls to walk on Tuesday, and stayed for park lunch. Our morning exercise was definitely lacking without Becky and her kids. That evening we did Family Night since Matthew is taking a class that runs late on Monday's.

Mindy was at girls camp, so the Jolley boys spent the day with us on Wednesday. We played with Lego's, K'nex, and Magnetix, jumped on the trampoline, ran around in the back yard, looked at books, and did some puzzles. Abraham, Scott, and Riker did great entertaining themselves. Harry, on the other hand, followed me around while I did my regular chores talking non-stop about Minecraft for five solid hours. Finally Hyrum came home and I set them up on three different computers to play their game together. Matthew came home a little early and joined the Minecraft party on his laptop. They all had a lot of fun. Brother Jolley arrived around 5:00 pm and they all stayed for home made pizza and root beer floats.

I did some sewing on Thursday morning, we did park lunch, then waited for Hyrum to come home from his last day of summer school. He had such a great experience with the six week program and has already asked to do it again next year. I'm grateful he enjoyed it so much and hope it helps make his transition to the regular school year that much easier. After dinner my visiting teachers came over.

Today was Matthew's day off. He spent most of the morning getting a new printer to work with our computer. I had a follow up doctor's appointment, which showed that everything is well and fine after the whole miscarriage experience. Mercy had stepped on something in the backyard and was upset about her sore foot, so Matthew tended to her while I took the boys to the park for play group. When we got home, Mercy was fast asleep by a window in the front room, where she stayed for three hours. I went grocery shopping, fed everyone lunch, then in the afternoon we took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese for our finishing the Book of Mormon party. We spent $3, which bought each kid a cup of ice cream and 10 tokens. We stayed about an hour and when all the tokens were spent everyone left cheerfully without complaint. It was a perfect outing. We stopped by Sam's Club, then went home for a simple hot dog dinner. After getting the family fed, I left for a Relief Society activity at the church. It was a family history themed evening in honor of Pioneer Day. After a supper of stew and bread and some short presentations from a couple sisters about some of their ancestors, we learned how to use familysearch.org. It was a great activity and I came home really excited to work on my own genealogy.
