We have running water downstairs! Matthew hooked the sink up and we bought a new toilet for the downstairs bathroom. My favorite part of the entire day was watching Hyrum help his Daddy "fix the potty." He even got to use a real drill.
Our massive pile of debris got about five feet tall. It included all the old sub-floor, linoleum, and carpet, the ruined tile floor, a broken dresser, two toilets, and a chopped up piano.
Brother Richardson and Brother Peckinpaugh came over and helped load it all into Brother Peckinpaugh's trailer (he's a general contractor). It weighed over a ton and cost us about $40 to dump it at the landfill.
Matthew saw this guy while mowing the lawn. While I wouldn't want to find him anywhere in my house, I'm always in awe of all the interesting critters we come across here in Indiana.

I'm surprised it only cost $40.
That's amazing. You're brave for ripping up your house. Beau starts talking about home improvement stuff and I say, "oh, so let's just paint something..." He's such a lucky guy ;) Also, that almond study is pretty cool!
