Wrapping things up

Wes/Carla and Derrick/Steph headed home to Salt Lake as soon as the baptism was over on Saturday. Everyone else came over for pulled pork and coleslaw sandwiches. My side of the family left for Denver after lunch. Mercy was sure to soak up every last moment with Sarah that she could. The kids spent most of Saturday afternoon with Sarah and Austin watching Lord of the Rings all snuggled up together on the couch upstairs. Matthew and Grandpa went back out to Cabela's for some more Black Friday deals. In the late afternoon we took a walk around the school and played on Mercy's kindergarten playground for a bit.

Sarah and Austin left first thing Sunday morning and we were back to having just Matthew's parents with us. We went to church, then they packed up while I was having choir practice. For dinner we had corned beef and vegetables. It didn't turn out very flavorful, so I'm glad I didn't end up serving it to everyone on Friday like I had planned.

Kip and Naomi left early this morning, Matthew is off to work, and the kids are back in school. It was certainly a whirlwind week, but so fantastic. Everything went so much better than I could have hoped and I am truly grateful.
