Saturday Snapshots

It rained all day today, which we were very grateful for as we are in a severe drought and the moisture was sorely needed. While Dad and Abraham were gone fishing, Hyrum, Mercy, and I got up early to do Milo, then went to Hyrum’s first swim meet. We were there from 7:45 to about 10:30, which was a bit long for Mercy, but Hyrum was pretty into it and seemed to really enjoy himself. He got 5th place out of 7 in the 50m backstroke.

Matthew and Abraham got home in time to help with the mid-day Milo.

Their fishing experience wasn’t all they had hoped for considering they were soaking wet the entire time. Matthew wasn’t able to get his trot line out last night like he hoped to and his anchor got stuck and he had to cut it loose. On the bright side though, Abraham loved sleeping in the car, they were able to hang out with the Jeb Brown’s a bit who were also there fishing, and they caught a catfish, bringing our species catch up to three.
