Monday was Mercy's day to play hooky and we spent the morning at the zoo.
Tuesday morning we did a big grocery shopping trip and that evening we had the missionaries over for dinner. Mercy had an unfortunate run in with the bathroom door handle as she was getting ready for bed. The world is a precarious place when your head's just three feet from the ground.
Mercy had school Wednesday morning and I spent most of that time running errands. That afternoon the kids and I met up with the Richardson's at Explora to help celebrate Nathan's 7th birthday. There were several new or upgraded exhibits and the boys especially had a lot of fun. I'm sad I didn't get any pictures. That evening was Cub Scouts followed by Cub Scout committee meeting.
Thursday was pajama day at Helen Cordero, which was a real treat for Mercy who would live in her Rapunzel night dress if she could. The day was made extra special by the receipt of a balloon at the Joann grand reopening sale she was obliged to go to with me in the morning. I think this picture really captures the essence of Mercy these days.
Today was ABQ Aloft, the morning when hot air balloon's inflate at schools all over the city to kick off Balloon Fiesta week. Painted Sky is one of the lucky elementary's to host and Matthew has taken the boys the last two years since Mercy was too young to be very interested in getting up that early. I got to take all three kids this year and it was a fun enough event. There were two balloons and lot's of friends, making it a fun way to spend a couple early morning hours.
