Mercy Style

This girl!

The main idea behind all her outfits is to look like a princess. If clean laundry permits, this means a dress or skirt of some kind, always with pants of some sort underneath. Even on Sunday's with her fancier church clothes, she insists on pants under her skirt. Shoes are often a touchy subject. Usually she likes sandals, sometimes with socks sometimes without. But there are times she insists on sneakers, which can be referred to as her walking shoes or her speedy shoes. Going on a hike or going to church both qualify as appropriate times to wear either sandals or speedy shoes. There are other times when shoes of any variety are completely out of the question and despite goatheads or burning hot cement, she is persistent in being barefoot. It is common for her to change her underwear every time she uses the restroom, whether or not the old ones have been in any way soiled. Sometimes she's adamant about wearing the same top for several days in a row, and other times she'll go through three or four pant/shirt combos over the course of a few hours. Sometimes she'll only get dressed if someone else picks out the clothes, and other times she downright refuses to wear what others have chosen. Thankfully she's becoming more open to the idea of combed hair and even allows a little ponytail or hair bow every once in a while. While her thought process is a mystery and no one knows what a new day may produce, one must accept that Mercy definitely has her own style.
