June with the Johnson's: Part 3 - South Dakota
Thursday we traveled from St. Paul to Mitchell, SD, stopping at a few playgrounds along the way. The next day, Friday the 14th, we continued on towards the Black Hills. We took the scenic route through the Bad Lands and stopped for a quick 1/5 mile walk and to climb around a bit.
Around lunch time, we stopped at Wall Drug, an old prairie pharmacy turned tourist attraction. We ate and spent some time looking around. Everyone was tired and it was hot, so we pushed on to Keystone, where we would stay for the next five nights. The boys and I walked a couple blocks to a small playground for some downtime before bed, and that might have been the biggest hit of the day.
