Potty Time, Apparantly

Abraham started throwing a bit of a fit this evening when I mentioned changing his diaper and getting into pajamas. I assumed it was because he didn't want to go to bed yet and was honestly quite surprised when he pulled down his pants and ran into the bathroom chanting potty potty! Like most new toilet users, he first had to strip down naked. He then allowed me to help him onto the seat, squirmed around a bit to find a stable position, then waited for something to happen. The pint size training toilet is sitting in the attic since potty training isn't something I've even started thinking about, so he complained a bit about it being ouchy and even nearly fell in, but he stuck it out until he peed. He then got down, wiped, flushed, and washed his hands like he'd been doing it for ages. He even looked at me like I was crazy for cheering about something so routine and mundane. I think I might take back every disparaging remark I've ever made about this child if potty training him turns out to really be that easy.

That's my wonderful grandson! Yeah for him and good thoughts for you that it is that easy.

So funny! All the books say that kids potty train on their own schedule. . .
