Since being called to the ward missionary committee, I've had many opportunities to serve with the Sisters. Today was transfer day and the Sisters needed a ride down to Indy to make the big switch. Because Sister Williams was getting a new Sister to train, they had meetings from 8:30am until about 3pm. My plan was to drop the missionaries off at the church then spend the day at the Indianapolis Children's Museum, which is supposed to be pretty amazing. I had information that the boys and I could get in for $2 each with their Medicaid cards, but it turns out it's the re-certification paper one needs in order to get the discount. I didn't have said paper work, and $30 was more than I wanted to spend, so we took a picture in the lobby with Bumblebee and headed back to the church.
I was a bit bummed at first, but it all actually worked out extremely well. Abraham fell asleep in the car and was able to get a decent nap, Hyrum watched some He-Man on the portable DVD player, I prepared my Sunday school lesson, we ate lots of fun snacks, and played with balls in the gym. The boys were both enthralled with all the Elders wandering about, and it was fun to be the first to get to know the brand new Sister straight from the MTC.
