The summer seems to be flying by and I can hardly believe it's already been two weeks since we got back from DC. Matthew is in the midst of what is probably the most productive period since we got married. He's gotten super organized both at school and at home and is getting all kinds of projects done, including the successful installation of our new heat pump/air conditioner. Hooray! Along with a shmorgesborg of small household jobs, he's also rearranged furniture, organized filing systems, cleaned out closets, and gotten rid of the ants that moved in while we were on vacation. He's amazing! I've kept busy as well. Last Tuesday the boys and I went on a bus ride that included a little demonstration at the bus depot and a trip through the bus wash. Later that day we attended a birthday party that included a back yard bounce house which was very exciting. The next day I did some baking and was able to enjoy a going away party for one of my very dearest friends, Sarah Richardson. Thursday and Friday mornings were spent visiting teaching, and today I went to a wedding at 2pm, came home to help Matthew mop the floors, then the whole family was back at the church at 5:30 for a baptism. Phew!
After being very disappointed in our camera lens selection while in DC, we came home and purchased a new 18-55 mm zoom lens which so far we are very happy with. We've been using it to catch shots of some of the in between moments of life.
The beginnings of another cardboard box fort
The boys have become obsessed with our bed lately and love to jump and wrestle on it, or just lounge about on all the pillows...
