A trip to the Zoo

Hyrum and I have been trying to go on "outings" at least a couple times a week. The other day we met up with a friend of ours and her two kids at the Columbian Park Zoo. The park itself is quite large with a couple different playgrounds and places for picnicking, as well as an awesome little zoo. It's got monkeys, wallaby's, emu's, turtles, prairie dogs, a variety of birds, river otters, a butterfly pavilion, and a petting zoo with goats and a llama. There are lot's of things to climb on, as well as an area with those little bubbling fountains in the ground that kids can run through. The best part: it's free! With school ending there were a ton of people there, even first thing in the morning, so it was hard to take good pictures and keep Hijo from following some other group of wee ones. But we stayed just over an hour and the kids had a great time.

Check out the difference between my little baby bump and that poor goat's pregnant belly.

Hello:
Finished a big paper earlier this evening. Can't wait 2 ditch some really boring systematic theology books. Sometime, you will need to take your kids to the either Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, the Milwaukee Zoo in Milwaukee, or the St Louis Zoo. Been to all three - but not in a loooong while. I so miss the midwest sometimes! Weather kinda questionable though . . .

Hyrum has a bump also. I hope you both are not pregnant.
