A bit about Hijo and a Castle

This is a mild version of a face I see frequently every day. It's Hijo saying "I want that" or "pick me up" or "it's not working". This face is often accompanied by whining and in it's advanced stages, flailing on the floor. It's not necessarily a bad face, just a frustrated one. Hyrum's not exceptionally patient or persistent and hasn't yet grasped the idea of "help". The more he learns, the more he wants to do and it's hard for his little body to keep up with his inquisitive mind.

Here he is in his element though. Hyrum loves to be outside. He'd spend all day out there if I let him. We had a few of his little friends over yesterday and some of the older ones showed him just how much fun his playground can be. This picture also demonstrates his obsession with always carrying something around. This day it was a toy car. Sometimes it's a rock or his cup or a ball. Last night he got a hold of the peanut butter and carried it around for at least an hour. It also gives an idea of how well his hair is growing in and shows off his cute little toes. I think he looks so sweet in his sandals. Though they are a bit big on him and he would usually rather go without. I need to get him some baby crocks.

On an entirely different note, Matthew went here this past weekend. Chateau de Chillon, on the shore of Lake Geneva near Montreux Switzerland. The castle is famous because it's never been successfully attacked or taken by siege. Also, Lord Byron carved his name on one of the pillars in the dungeon. That's kinda cool. Matthew's having an okay time. He's working hard on some simulations and doing shifts monitoring the experiment. Just over three more weeks and he'll be home!
