I conducted the music again on Sunday. For family night we played Among Us with Grandpa, then spent the evening relaxing in the hammocks.
Abraham was experiencing some intense tooth pain, so much so that he wasn't eating, so I was able to get him in to an emergency appointment first thing Monday morning. The dentist is pretty sure it's just molars growing in and suggested he take some Tylenol. While we were gone at the dentist, Cassie helped Matthew drop off the white truck at a repair shop in hopes that they can diagnose what's wrong with the cruise control. I had just enough time to drop Abraham back at the house, then I was off again to an emergency appointment of my own. The mystery pain in my hip has gotten almost unbearable, so I was hoping to see a doctor before I leave for my Zion's trip. I was able to get in with a nurse practitioner up in Rio Rancho, who ordered me an x-ray. I had to drive to a different clinic across town, but was able to get the x-ray right away. Unfortunately, I can't get into the orthopedic doctor until after we are back from both trips to Utah. I suppose it's at least good to have gotten the ball rolling. After getting the x-ray, I stopped by Walmart to stock my family up on food they can eat while I'm gone, then I had an orthodontist appointment. It was kind of an intense day, so for dinner I treated us all to clam chowder and homemade bread - the ultimate comfort food!
Tuesday had significantly less running around, but was still full of cleaning and other preparations for the next two weeks.
Wednesday was another busy day. I took Mercy to her last speech therapy appointment, then we stopped by the distribution center by the temple, then we popped into the orthodontist office so they could clip a wire that was cutting my cheek, then we swung by the park for our last park lunch of the summer. During my brief time at home, I made a batch of scones because I am just a little insane, then I had a dentist appointment in the early afternoon. The moment I got home from that, Matthew and I went to collect the white truck. They were able to tell him what part needs replacing, as well as point out to him that a couple of the tires are fit to burst at any moment. The metal was exposed and it's truly a miracle they haven't blown yet. I'm not sure how we missed that, but we did and it needed to be fixed today because I leave tomorrow with the Highlander and the green truck isn't running. Matthew found a llantaria that was still open and was able to get four new tires for less than $200. We're hoping they'll at least last us until we can get a holiday deal on a full set of proper tires. While he was off dealing with that, I made a giant pot of sausage and pepper pasta so Matthew can have leftovers for a couple days, then got Hyrum to Young Men's and Abraham to his primary activity. Oh, and I packed for Zion's. I was definitely ready for bed when the time came!
