The kids have been working really hard at school, so I decided to take them on a field trip. We started with a stop at the temple. It felt so nice to be on temple grounds after a long year of Covid. The kids all noted the peace they felt there, especially Hyrum, who took some time to himself to pray about a calling he has just received.
We then drove just a few minutes away and did a little hike in the foothills. We started at the Cottonwood Springs trailhead and went until we felt ready to turn around. We stopped at every big rock and took our merry time. The weather was divine and we had such a good time relaxing in nature for an afternoon.
