Sunday Snapshots

We went to church at 10:30, then Matthew had a virtual ward audit as soon as we got home at noon. At 1:30 we got to participate with Hyrum in a really neat Stake youth fireside. Once again, the silver linings of Covid shone through and we got to go on a virtual tour of the Sacred Grove. A pair of senior missionaries walked us around the grounds and through the houses of the old Smith farm. After the tour, the Stake focused on helping the youth make goals and Hyrum was asked to share an experience he had with a physical goal. He talked about how he wanted to go on a deer hunt and worked towards that goal even before he had a tag, and then how he was blessed with a special opportunity and was able to harvest a deer. He did a great job. During the fireside, we enjoyed homemade raised doughnuts. They were a little undercooked, but definitely have potential! In the evening, Matthew had a regional church meeting, also held virtually. It is hard that we have so little in person contact these days, but I am at least grateful that Matthew doesn't have to spend hours and hours commuting across the stake for all his many meetings.
