Dad continued his tour of units for Ward Conferences and was in Alamo on Sunday. Hyrum got set apart as the Deacon's quorum secretary and had his first youth council meeting after church.
The kids had Monday and Tuesday off of school and we enjoyed fishing, visits to music stores, and playing at friend's houses.
On Wednesday, when our schedules got back to normal, I ran errands and tried to get back on top of the everyday chores that had been neglected. Between our fishing at Fenton and Tingley, we had enough trout to smoke, so I did that then spent nearly two hours de-boning them.
Abraham finished up his President report on Thursday and that evening Matthew had a High Council meeting down at the Stake Center.
In order to take Monday off, Matthew arranged his schedule so he'd work on Friday instead. He wanted to get the first skim coating on the wall before he went in, which shouldn't have taken too much time. He ended up running out of mud though and needed to buy more, so he was around for a couple hours in the morning while I went to help in Mercy's class. Matthew went over to Jeb's in the evening while the kids and I, along with Cassie and Beto, watched the movie Life of Pi and ate frozen pizza and taquitos for dinner.
Matthew got up first thing this morning to do a second skim coat on the wall. As soon as he was done, he went out to help a brother in the ward move to a new apartment. Then he had a super quick shower and we went to Ammon Jensen's baptism. We then ran out to Exotic Woods to purchase a beautiful red gum slab for a table he is going to build for the Jolley's. In the afternoon, the boys went to Scott's birthday party while Dad and I took Mercy on a little date to Burger King. After such a full day, we were a bit relieved when D&D got canceled. We watched the movie Zoom, which was ridiculous in every regard but the kids loved it.
