Most days this week were typical, filled with things like errand running, cooking, cleaning, homework, music, exercise, sewing, and scripture study. It was a full, productive week. Every evening this week found at least one of us busy:
Monday night we had Family Home Evening, which we neglected on Sunday. Tuesday evening there was an informational meeting for parents of incoming middle schoolers, followed by primary activities and young men's.
On Wednesday we fed the missionaries. We currently have a trio of Elders and I served them Venison stew, which was a novel experience for all of them and led to a lively discussion on hunting. I was grateful to have Cassie here that night, as I had offered to take the Jolley's dinner as well (Mindy had surgery) and I was running woefully behind. She stepped in and saved the day!
The kids had after school clubs on Thursday, and that evening Matthew had a High Council meeting.
Brother Dotson came over mid-afternoon today and he and Matthew were able to record another song. We watched a bit of Carmen Sandiego while we ate dinner, then everyone worked overtime to clean their rooms in anticipation of a houseful of guests.
