A Day with Cousins

On Sunday morning, Matthew went down to Los Lunas for stake conference and a myriad of meetings afterwards. We weren't sure when Karen and Carolyn were going to arrive, so the kids and I went to Sacrament meeting in a ward in a different stake. Cassie and Beto came home from the hospital at 12:30 and the kids got about 15 minutes to love on Lucas before Cassie's family arrived. We spent the rest of the day admiring the new little man of the house and visiting.

Cassie's family was only able to stay a day, and since my kids rarely get to see cousins, we decided to let them skip school today. Everyone came over for a late breakfast in the morning, then Carolynn took Mercy and Eliana (who is Abraham's age) swimming at their hotel pool. William (who is just a couple weeks older than Hyrum) is on the autistic spectrum and Carolyn was worried about how he'd do, but he and the boys got along so well. They had so much fun and were sad to say goodbye when the time came.

When Carolyn and the girls got back from swimming, she did a newborn photo shoot. We are all completely smitten with little Lucas.
