Jeb and the Girls came over for our Irish themed Sunday dinner. We made corned beef, cabbage and carrots, and rolls, and Jeb brought a cottage pie (similar to a shepherd's pie, but with beef). For dessert we ate leftover macarons.
Monday was the typical grocery shopping/laundry/blogging day. We had made plans to have an older couple in our ward come over for FHE, but they both struggle with multiple health problems and Monday turned out to be a rough day for them so they had to take a rain check. We still ate the homemade frozen custard I'd planned for the treat and it was delicious!
While Mercy was at school on Tuesday, I went to a potluck ladies lunch hosted by Karina. Mercy went to the Jolley's after school and was transferred back to me at swimming lessons. The boys are bummed that none of them are in the same class together, but it's been fun having Mindy there to chat with. After swimming, Matthew had his usual Tuesday evening EQ interviews and visits at 7pm, then he hosted book club at 8:30.
Mercy and I ran some errands and did a lot of organizing on Wednesday morning, then after the boys got home we met friends at Park West. Hyrum went home with the Jensen's, who agreed to take him to cub scouts. I went to Painted Sky where they were having registration for the new school. That night was kindergarten registration, but thankfully (after not having the proper proof of residence last week when I was supposed to get the boys signed up) I was able to register all three. Filling out the paperwork took forever! Once I was done, I ran home and picked up Abraham and Mercy and we joined Hyrum at Pack Meeting.
Mercy went to play at Olivia's on Thursday morning. I cleaned for a couple hours, then planned my run to pass through Mirehaven park where friends were meeting for lunch. I missed the memo that the time had changed, so Mercy and I went back after she was home from school. At 5:00 the boys had swimming, then at 7:00 I went to book club. We read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society this month. I read it several years ago and enjoyed just as much the second time around.
There was a lot of cleaning/cooking/errand running I could have done today, but I decided to make a quilt instead.
