The theme in primary for this year was Choose The Right. I love receiving inspiration as I write the program and assign parts. Each year has been very different and I love seeing how the Lord knows each of the children and how to best utilize their strengths. This year each of the 10/11 year old kids gave a roughly two minute talk about one of the monthly sub-themes. The rest of the kids had smaller speaking parts that supported the talks and songs. At the end two of the teachers bore their testimonies and the program on the whole was very spiritual.
Hyrum - Jesus Christ created the earth as a place where we can learn to choose the right. Having a variety of choices is a blessing.
Abraham - Father Abraham chose to be obedient when the Lord asked him to sacrifice his son. The Lord saw that Abraham had faith and blessed him so that he didn’t have to sacrifice his son after all. Abraham was blessed with the Priesthood and a large posterity.
Mercy - Jesus showed us how to be a good example to others
