Abraham started his birthday with sprinkle pancakes and cream, then it was off to church.
Matthew's family typically waits until evening to open presents, but since it was Sunday and there wasn't much else we could do to celebrate, we let him open his big present from Mom and Dad: The Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu Lego set. We got the Asian knock-off brand for a fraction of the price and were really pleased with the product. Abraham and his dad spread out and sorted the over 2,000 pieces and spent the rest of the day building.
Wes and Derrick came over for dinner, and then it was time for cake. Grandma Naomi created a Sensei Wu masterpiece that not only looked awesome but tasted great. Abraham asked for vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and grandma definitely went above and beyond.
When we were done eating, we went downstairs to open the rest of Abraham's presents. He got a Pogo stick and some toy cars from Grandma and Grandpa Kress, a ton of fun art supplies from Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, the Lego's and a video game from Mom and Dad, a dinosaur digging kit from Aunt Sarah, some candy and $10 from his uncles, and a glow in the dark sword from Mercy.

Seven years of Abraham! He is clever, tender, generous, independent, full of energy, and a bit headstrong. He is doing so well in just about every aspect of his life and even when he's driving me crazy my heart is so full of love for who he is. Happy Birthday sweet boy!
