They seem to just be moving dirt around, digging big holes then filling them up again. I assume they're putting pipes and things in. They dug a huge hole right on the edge of the school zone on the Mirehaven side which I feel confident in guessing is for general drainage. The whole level of the ground has been raised quite a bit, so there's no longer much to see from the street, though the view from my sewing room window is still quite good.
