On Monday morning I tended all three Jolley boys while Mindy and Dave signed on a Mirehaven house. Despite being a little disappointed that my boys were in school, they were well behaved and even helped me fold some laundry. We had snickerdoodles and jumped on the trampoline for family night.
The plan for Wednesday morning was for Mercy to go to Mindy's while Hannah and I rode our bikes, but Mercy woke up with a slight fever and a bed full of diarrhea so our ride was once again thwarted. Matthew came home early and I was able to go grocery shopping by myself. I then made three batches of candy corn themed Rice Krispie Treats for Matthew's Halloween potluck at work. The kids and I stayed home from pack meeting this month, and Matthew went alone to supervise the playing of board games.
Mercy seemed improved on Thursday and we made it outside for a walk. I love that we can very comfortably wear shirt sleeves and sandals at the end of October. Since Matthew dressed up for his work party, we had the costume box out and the kids had a fun time rediscovering our dress up clothes.
Friday was our Stake Temple day, and since it was also Matthew's day off, I volunteered to tend kids so parents could make it to the Temple. We had no takers for the morning, so I was able to do the 9:00 am session. Becky dropped Ammon and Micah off at 12:30 and took Dixie with her. At 5:00 Ella Obrock came over, along with the Jolley boys and we had pizza and watched a movie.
Saturday we worked around the house and then in the evening went to a tri-ward trunk or treat and fall carnival. I spent most of that night up with a feverish, coughing Hyrum. He was definitely not well enough to go to church, and Abraham had started coughing as well, so I went alone and Matthew stayed home with the kids and their candy.
