Johnson's in Town

Grandma J and Jennifer arrived late Thursday night. On Friday, while the boys were at school, we went to Jo-Ann's and looked around a couple stores at the mall. At the fabric store Matthew and I made an investment in quite a lot of flannel that was on sale. We plan to try our hand at selling rag quilt kits, so when we got home from shopping, we got to work cutting. That evening we picked up pizza to celebrate Jennifer's birthday.

On Saturday we spent several hours around Old Town Albuquerque. Grandma poked around the shops and Matthew and the kids played Pokemon Go! in the courtyard park. We had lunch at a quesadilla place.

We then popped by the Botanic Gardens for about an hour to check out the bugarium. Grandma had a headache when we got home, so she laid down for a nap and didn't wake up until after the kids were in bed. Matthew and I did some more flannel cutting.

Today was a rather typical Sunday. I had meetings before church then was in charge of sharing time. We had an easy hodge podge meal for dinner, Grandma worked one some beading, and the kids got to bed at a very reasonable hour. It was just a quick trip for Grandma and Jennifer and they will go home tomorrow morning.
