Utah Day 2

Abraham wasn't feeling well and had a rough night. He and I got up before 6:00 am and an hour of not having to share Grandma's toys seemed to lift his spirits somewhat. We had a long, leisurely morning eating breakfast, playing chess, building with waffle blocks, reading books, and bathing. Church was at 1:00 pm and without having responsibilities in the primary to keep me on my toes, I admit I had a hard time staying alert during the second and third hour meetings. After church, Naomi made noodles Alfredo with asparagus and toasted bread and Sarah made super cute fruit kababs with blueberries and star shaped pieces of watermelon. Wes and Fiorella and Derrick and his friend Heidi came over for supper and a little visit. We frosted red, white, and blue star shaped sugar cookies outside and enjoyed each other's company. I'm glad they made the effort to come see us. Matthew got all ready for his big hike, then after the kids were in bed, the adults (minus Sarah) played a game of Seven Wonders.
