The Progression of a Hole

Wednesday morning my visiting teacher and her cute little daughter came over. In the afternoon, the boys and I went out to dig. At the end of the day, the trampoline hole looked like this: (the deepest part was at Abraham's waist)

Thursday morning the littles and I went grocery shopping, then stopped by Hyrum's school to drop off the afternoon snack for his class. Abraham and Mercy played out back for a while, which resulted in the serious need for baths. After dinner I went on splits with the Sister Missionaries. I went with Sister Albright to teach an awesome family. The dad is coming back into activity and the mom and daughter are recent converts. It was a very sweet experience.

Friday was Matthew's day off, so I took advantage of him being home to attend the Temple. I underestimated the affect morning traffic would have on my commute, so I arrived about two minutes too late to do a session and ended up doing initiatories instead. I'm so glad I did! I did work for women born in Hungary over 250 years ago and I felt so happy to help them move forward in their eternal progression. I ran a couple errands on my way home, fed everyone lunch, and handed off the keys for Matthew to run several errands of his own. I left Dad in charge of the bedtime routine once again so I could attend our Relief Society activity. We played a giant game of floor scrabble, had a nice lesson on friendship, and ate black forest waffles. It was a lot of fun.

We got up promptly on Saturday morning to go help clean the church at 8:00 am. The Keith's are moving and had some work to do on their new house. I remember how stressful it could be trying to do home improvement projects with kids around, so I volunteered to watch Conrad and Sophie while their parents did a big trip to the hardware store and got some painting done. Matthew spent most of the day digging, which the kids thought was awesome. This mid-winter heat wave has been so lovely, and we've made some good progress on the hole. We also started on the paper mache pinatas for the Blue and Gold Banquet coming up next week. It was super windy and the gluing did not go particularly well, but we did make headway on that project as well. Our friends left a little after 2:00 pm and Abraham and I quickly got ready and left for Scott's birthday party at 2:30. After a little family down time, dinner, and putting the kids to bed, Matthew continued to work on his pinatas and I prepared our primary lesson.
