The Potty Train

Around noon on Wednesday Abraham announced that he needed to go potty and asked if he could go on the toilet. He then asked if he could wear underwear. He had two pee accidents and one poo accident that day, but otherwise did great. We told him that if he could go a whole day with no accidents, we could go to Chuck E. Cheese. Thursday he went the whole day with no accidents. We added an addendum that he needed to also successfully poo in the toilet, and Friday he went the whole day with no accidents and successfully pooed in the toilet. So this morning we went to Chuck E. Cheese. We found a coupon (more like a prize you can give your kid for things like brushing their teeth every day for two weeks, or being helpful, or using the potty). You get 10 tokens with a food purchase, so we bought 99 cent ice cream cups and they each got a treat and some tokens. We actually spent nearly two hours there and the boys had a great time.

I knew that one day he would just wake up and be ready. Way to go Abraham!

he insists on wearing his underpants backwards... silly boy.
