A friend of ours sent out an open invitation to join them at the zoo this morning. We hadn't done much in the way of outings this week and the boys had so much fun last time, so we decided to go. The plan was for everyone to meet at 10am, and we were definitely up early enough to make that happen, but after nursing and breakfast and bathing and dressing and diaper changes and packing lunches and loading the car and finding shoes, Mercy was ready to eat again and we didn't end up making it to the park until nearly 11. We missed most of our friends, but did run into one who also got there a bit later and I had a fun time getting to know her a little better. The boys looked at the gophers and river otters, then decided it was time for lunch and playing in the water.
I think I've finally learned that on occasions such as these, everyone is happiest when I let them lead, so we busted out the pb&j and they played in the fountains for nearly an hour.
Miss Mercy saying, yep, this is me, in the stroller as usual
Our friend had a stack of tickets to ride the little train around the park and offered to let us join them. The boys were very excited and I was glad to finally do something I've thought of every time we visit.

I love your pic and caption for Mercy in the stroller! And you are such a nice mommy. It's so hard to do ANYTHING outside the house with three tiny kids!
