Mercy tried her first bites of rice cereal last night, and it was obvious she was ready for it. She'd been unusually fussy for a couple days, voraciously eating every two hours, and not sleeping especially well. I think she did better than either of the boys. She figured out how to swallow the paste-like mixture right away and seemed quite pleased about the whole thing. My baby is growing up!
Also of note, we finished the master bedroom this week and I'm now working on moving Matthew and I back in. This involves more purging and packing, but when I'm done it will be a nice uncluttered space not shared by the baby. Hooray!
Dad was home all day working with tools outside and the boys chose to watch me scrub a floor. I suppose I can see the draw of an empty, echo-y room, especially on a hot humid afternoon, but I would have liked to capitalize on the outside supervision a bit more.
