Conversations with Hyrum

Hyrum was sounding out words on his cereal box and independently read his first words: Kix and milk.  He then started working on sounding out another: ffff....aaaa....tttt. Matthew suggested he say the sounds faster, so he emphatically (and with quite a bit of spit) tried: FFFF....AAAA....TTTT. After a couple more tries and some help from Dad he finally made out the word fat, then exclaimed, "Oh, just like Mom!"

First thing in the morning, while every sensible person was still in bed, the boys were up and going. Hyrum asked if it was a school day and I said no, but he could set up his panda family and teach them something. He then ran into the other room and declared enthusiastically, "Abraham, I know what we're going to do today!" Can you tell we like Phineas and Ferb around here?

We watched an episode of the aforementioned cartoon after dinner yesterday evening and as always, when it ended the boys begged for one more. Matthew said no and Hyrum responded with an indignant, "You don't say no to the bros!" It was hilarious.

Matthew was experimenting with just the twilight coming in from the window. I can't really decide if this picture is artsy, or creepy. Perhaps a little of both?
