I hear that many kids at this age ask why a lot.
Hyrum's repeated question of choice is what happens if...
For example:
What happens if I put my socks on?
If I answer with something like, then you'll be wearing socks, he responds:
But Mama, what happens if I'm wearing socks?
Then a conversation similar to the following ensues:
Me: Then you're toes won't get cold.
H: What happens if my toes don't get cold?
Me: Then you'll feel warm and cozy.
H: What happens if I feel warm and cozy?
Me: Then you'll be happy and well behaved.
H: What happens if I'm happy and well behaved?
And so forth.
The real fun happens when he asks something like:
What happens if this noodle turned into the moon?
I answered, then the field of astrophysics would change dramatically. He didn't quite know what to make of my response.
