Decorating Easter Eggs

Today We decorated Easter eggs. Grandma Nao and I boiled 3 dozen eggs earlier this weekend and this morning Hyrum and Sarah helped dye them. Hyrum really enjoyed picking what color to put each egg in and how long to keep it in the cup. Then Grandma would lift it out with a spoon and Hyrum would put it in the tray to dry. He was very interested in the whole process.

Abraham sat in his high chair watching for about 3.2 seconds before he started fussing. But a change of venue changed his mood and he spent most of the morning in the living room playing with the Mr. Potato Head accessories Aunt Sarah gave him.

Later in the afternoon, once the eggs had dried, Matthew joined in the fun to help decorate them with faces and hair. Hyrum taught his Dad what to do by telling him how to pick out stickers and showing him where to put the glue.

What great fun. Grandparent visits are always the best.

My dad and I used to dye Easter eggs together when I was a little kid. So much fun! It drove my mom nuts That was part of the fun as my mom did not/does not revel in holiday frivolity.
