We are in the throws of Spring Cleaning, and yesterday we tackled Abraham's room. The room itself just needed a good thorough cleaning, but the closet...
When we moved to Indiana, Matthew discovered Menards and our life has never been the same since. They offer lots of rebates and Matthew used to get everything that ended up free. At first it was fun and we thought we were getting such great deals, but three years and a closet that looks like the above has taught us that maybe we don't really need 20 hand saws, 10 bottles of deck wash, or 5 fuzzy mitts to wash the car with. We sorted through the chaos and came up with several baskets of stuff to return and a big trash bag full of garbage. At the end of the day, the closet looked like this:
Of course, the room itself got a proper scrub down, including a carpet cleaning with our new steam vac. We also got rid of the big, ugly chair I bought at a garage sale before Abraham was born and rearranged a few things. It all went remarkably well and I actually look forward to doing Hyrum's room next weekend.
